Hello, I want to tie on some 50lb. test mono-filament to a large barrel swivel. I want to know what would be the best knot to use with a mono-filament of this size. I normally use a Palomar knot, but I am worried it may not be sufficient for this rigging. Also, on the other end of the barrel swivel I am tying on 65lb. test Power Pro. I have been trying a Uni knot wrapped 8 times, but have been having problems getting the knot to come together. Any knot suggestions for 65lb. Power Pro? Thanks. | ||

I think I'd stick with the Palomar, only instead of doing a single loop I'd try 2 or 3. Bit harder to snug up, but with that size line it should give it better grip and knot strength. |
