There are a lot of baits which catch you catfish Nick. Most believe that the best bait is the one the catfish are eating naturally in your river or lake. Cut a few of them open to see what they like. The regular baits such as sunfish, bluegil, shad, chubs, liver, blood baits, stink baits, and worms should catch you a few to cut open. Good luck.
