5 gal bucket of cracked corn. A couple cans of old Milwaukee beer or other cheap nasty stuff. Pour the beer in the corn, cover the bucket and let set for 5 days.

Same sacked feed corn i use for deer also use for hogs. If youve got hogs around theyll eat a 50lb bag every other day. dump it in a pile near your stand. best to keep it on the ground continuously as theyll stop by yer stand every day while they make their rounds.

welcome aboard joe! the beer and corn thing is great, with a couple jars of molasses poured over it. don't even hunt hogs the first two weeks, just set this bait combination in the same lacation every other day. hogs are creatures of habit, and they are suckers for a free meal ticket. don't take any dogs with you either.
we hunt pigs over peanuts mostly, never need to bait em in. this is a good way to draw em out though.
a matter of curiosity if you don't mind- what's your preferred method of killing hogs? they are my favorite big game animal to hunt!

maybe if you get a feeding regimen set up for the hogs, they will move bedding areas closer to the feeding site, making it a good spot to send your strike dogs out on. what kind of dogs do you run? i want to put my rottweilers in with a penned hog to see if they would bay it or catch, or just get beat up.... they were originally bred for boar hunting and herding, so it might work.
wife would kill me if it didn't though!

I had a ol boar kill 4 dogs one day before we killed it. 1 Pit and 3 rotties. That hunt cost me a lot of money. Those were the best hog dogs around. We shot that hog 5 times with that 41 mag before he stoped. It was 309 pounds of pur meaness.

Another tip: Buy youself a few packages of Raspberry Jello. Use the dry jello straight from the package and dust it in with your corn. I dug a 3 foot hole with post hole diggers and put this mixture in the hole. Next day I had a five foot deep hole by four ft. wide...and no corn! Al

Ive done Corn and sweet feed and all sorts of stuff. But the best recipe I've seen I take corn and put it in a Barrel and take old beer i use keystone drink of choice. and let it sit for 4-5 days about a day or so before you go out put some sweet feed and let it sit a day or so.
