The one on the truck might be the next state record. I believe it was shot in Warren Co. & the other was in Highland Co. Unbelievable size, its HUGE!
Scouting leads to understanding, understanding to confidence, confidence to patience, and patience to success.

Both are great bucks, thanks for sharin. Today after dinner me and my brother was gonna head out for a little huntin. He took a nice 8 pointer just a little smaller than the one in my pic but saw a better one commin out a couple days ago. So we were goin after him. The wife wanted to come out and just sit for a little while so me her and my pup sit out in an ol duckblind that we built out in the middle of the field. We didn't even get to the blind and jumped a little doe in the beans. We finally get to the blind and almost instantly deer started comin out. The wife said she kept hearin somethin walkin but we couldn't see it down the treeline we were sittin in. Watchin deer on each side of us in the field. The wife turned around and it was two does and a small six pointer less than twenty yards from us. By the time it was over we saw a small 8 pointer and another small 6 pointer and a 4 pointer with a spike on one side and three on the other. We had over thirty deer in the field but big daddy never showed. Right at dark me the wife and dog gets out of the duck blind. Theres a couple small ditches and a big dip at the end of the treeline that usually have deer in it about 30 yards from the blind. So we walked down just to sneek a peak. A big ol doe was standin less than 10 yards from us when we got to the end and my lab took out after her. lol Ran her bout 100 yards then she had enough. First time she got to see a deer before. Had us both laughin. The doe ran about another 100 yards and started eatin again like she wasn't even bothered about it. I don't know if the rain the last couple of days kept them from eatin or what. It was a great day even if we didn't see any gooduns. |
