After had my 6 stands stolen last few years even they've gone too far by sawed the tree down just for the stand, needless to say theives among us. I came up with this idea hoping this solution would help some. I've searched on all different camoflague avail that are definitely like oak tree trunk (favorite tree) Trebark Bigwoods is one of the good camo that suit me well by using 3X4' fabric, 2 of 4' elastic, & cut 1 15' camo rope in half (the one you use to pull your weapon up to stand). Attach the elastic on both edge of 4' fabric. Sew both 3' edge over the rope to let the rope slide through. Done, now you can fold it into napkin size. When your on your way down from the stand, fold the the seat back & the platform against the tree (be sure to have a type of stretch cord to secure the platform to the trunk) Now cover the folded stand with the fabric, wrap the rope around the tree & tie it. To be on the safe side, take 3 to 4 screw-in steps with you.

Happy hunting & be safe.

I very rarely use a portable stand anymore. They are to expensive for me to buy and to easy for some loser to pack off. I've been building some stands that they can't carry off.

Will fish for food !!

I got ya Qriz. That is a good idea. I don't know why but I was just thinking of a climber for some reason. I was trying to figure out how in the world you could cover a climber assembled to the tree with a 3X3 piece of camo. lmao That is a good sketch you drew.
