I am ground blind hunting, and yesterday I had a buck come in about 50 yards from where I was sitting, with his nose to the ground, he walked completely from my left side, around to the front of me and off to the right, roughly 50 yards the whole way around, he would stop periodically and eat the acorns, his tail was down so I dont think he knew I was there, he didnt look like he was nervous of anything, what can I do to try and get him in closer, I have heard not to try and grunt to deer that close. This is my first year hunting and what a learning experience it has become........ | ||

yes, well actually crossbow, my girlfriends mom knew I have been wanting to get a bow to go bow hunting, but it was late already in the year, not enough time to really get accurate with a bow, so...she suprized me with a crossbow. | ||

nice gift a! if that happened to me i would set up by the trail he came in on. dont presure him to much though. i would also lay a sent trail to bring him into range.(dont let him hear your hart beat! lol).  good luck brother | ||
