Good looking stand Pete. 1 BIG question though...are you going to make any cross braces or at angles so the legs won't bend left or right and break off? Hate to see ya get it all built and the legs break off.

I'm trying to deside how to add the PC and cooler to this one..LOL And lazyboy and Tv. That would make for a nice hunt. But as for shooting I don't think there would be enough room. So guess the next one should be 8'X12'.. Pete And to think that catfish are thought of as trash.. Best fish in the world, Sure love the bite and fight...LOL

Heck Pete, just build the next one on wheels or take a camper out there and jack it up in the air. Hmmmmmmm thats an idea, now just got to figure out how to get it up that high in the air. Man just think you could build a little deck on it with a revolving gun turret. Sorry got carried away there. You won't catch em sittin' at home. Chattanooga, Tennessee

So don't make it to nice haha,>>>>Bentpole |

Well theres a problem with the deer stand.. Got carryed away and the thing will weight 5 or 600 lbs..LOL. But then again it should last a life time.. But the next ones will be light and still last. Pete you shouldn't have any problems with it blowing over. Now to back pack it to the site, that could be a little tough but I noticed you have a backhoe. Sounds like a winner to me. You won't catch em sittin' at home. Chattanooga, Tennessee

Jim that is one of those Yanmar Excavators, Talk about a handy toy. Theres always someone trying to buy it from me. But Marilyn will tell them its not for sale.. When she desides to put in a flowerbed, We take it and the loader on the Kubota M4700 tractor and get to work..LOL Did one last year that was 5ft wide and 30ft long, Dug it 3ft deep and replaced all the dirt. Was done within 2 hours... It also comes in handy to hang deer from to clean..HAHAH But will be handy to put up the over built stand.. Guess I should have waited untill it was where I needed it, Then put the chair and TV and fridge in it..LOL Pete And to think that catfish are thought of as trash.. Man when you do something you do it big.lol You got some mighty fine toys there. I had a dozer and had a ball on that thing. Made some nice four wheeler tracks with some biiiiig hills. Cleared a bunch of land with it. The bad part is it was expensive fun. You won't catch em sittin' at home. Chattanooga, Tennessee

Here is a stand that I built a couple years ago. I used pallet racks for the frame and built my box on top of that. The frame is 12 ft tall.
 Will fish for food !!

Pete, your stand looks mighty fine, Just put ya some wheels on 2 of the legs and use your tractor to move it. If you have a bucket on your tractor thats all you need to put er back up. built one a couple years back but before i could get it in the woods, Jennie already claimed it for a new chicken coop, haha. I guess I should build another and move it fast! haha. Nice Job Pete! |

Now thats hunting in comfort! I have a friend that has a bunch of that racking and was thinking of doing the same thing, we just don't have any private land to put one on. Never swim in a lake named after leaches

Larry I plan on building a bigger one like that also. And I do have some of the racks like yours is built out of. Just had not thought about them. Little _mac I like mine. But the one Larry built is a stand. Now If I only had a place to hunt with deer on it. And was able to sit in the stand . Pete And to think that catfish are thought of as trash..
