I want to thank y'all for the opportunity to learn from the more successful. I realized this year that the man who taught me to fish hadn't had anyone to teach him...my dad was more or less an orphan. We had quality time in the outdoors, but I started with a cane poll and never really changed style or method and always chalked it up to luck. I've learned a lot from the information already posted. I knew very little of baits or rigging or even the right size hook. But this past month I hooked one I fought for 10 minutes and lost when it straightened out a #2 hook. Then I realized I was "hooked" too ! As much of a rush as deer hunting. Is there such a thing as Cat Fever ? My heart was pounding and I was as disappointed as missing a broadside shot at 50 yards. | |||
