Will, I have never been two nimble, and moving around in a boat isnt one of my best tricks.I was fishinbg with two guys i have known and fished with for four years.it was Sunday morning 6:00,temp about 45 degrees,When we arrived at the Tennessee river,( Ky.Lake)on the water and fishing by 6:30. we were fishing real deep about 65 feet. one of the guys cought a 17 lber by 7:00 ohh its going to be a fine day!Long about 8:30 we were going to try anouther hole. I went to pull the anker.( a gear from a timber skidder) This when things started to go bad. I stood up to pull the anker,I took one step and ( SPLASH) I was in the water. this was colder then I could remember taking that first swin of the year as a kid. Ohh it gets worce.Im a swimmer, a good one,And it would seem thats one of the things that you would talk about, spending that much time on the water with some one. I guess not. I came once and threw my wallet in the boat.went down again too remove my sweat pants and threw them in the boat,I started too take off my sweat shirt off, and I guess my partner thought I was floundering and.tried to reach me with an oar .This didnt work to well, it was like he was trying to clobber me with it. I pulled away and he threw the sucker at me. At this time I wasnt sure if he was trying to save me or kill me. I swam over to the ore. making sure he couldnt reach it so he could continue his attac. I assured him that I was alright, and retrived my hat, swan over to the boat, A new challange. how to get my 230# body out of the water into the boat.my partner was so feaked out that, he pulled me out likea monster had me. I guess it wasnt that bad of a day, we cought 10 fish, and have a great story to tell.cant wait to do most of it all again. smokey said that.  "can you judge a wise man by the way he speaks or spells. Is that more important then the story that he tells?" | ||

With all that said,,,,,,,, where was you fishing on KY lake?? I'm comming down May 13, week or so at Rushing Creek, LBL . Ya need a more stable boat, maybe. My RoughNeck 1960 is stable. I cannot swim, so I need a stable boat. Glad you got some fish. I want to try the main channel more, this year. It's about 65'+ off of Rushing Creek and Ginger Bay. Jim, I was down in Tennessee. Near mousetail landing. it a great to put your boat in.Picnic, tables, grills and a place to "think".smokey "can you judge a wise man by the way he speaks or spells. Is that more important then the story that he tells?" | ||
