My wife is from Dubuque IA, and I am from NC. We are planning on spending several weeks out there this summer. If I dont get a chance to head north from there for walleyes, I'm thinking the river could be an option for catfish. First, is there anybody who fishes in that area, and if so what are some good ideas. Thanks Mike |

I fished the Mississippi years ago in IA. The size of the blugills and bass really impressed me, We rented one of those houseboats for a weekend. We did not get many cats, but bluegills 2" thick and 3LB bass by the bucketfull. That river has some great fish in it. Be Ye Fishers Of Men, You Catch Them, He Will Clean Them.
