Me and a buddy of mine used to go down there all the time in the colder months for Sauger. Quite a few years ago when we were there my partner hooked into about a 4LB Walleye...it was a nice one!!! I can't wait to get the catfish season rollin' again though. This will be the first full season with our boat, it should be productive!!!!! |

Sauger. are fun to catch. And also there's times if your fishing a sand and gravel bottom in 40 to 50 ft of water. You will catch way more catfish then sauger. Also Walleye are fished for more up north. But the sauger are fished for more down here. Also Sauger are cousins to walleye. Then a saugeye is a cross between both of them. Pete And to think that catfish are thought of as trash.. Best fish in the world, Sure love the bite and fight...LOL Pickwick Dam Tn

If I'm not mistaken I think that Carlyle dam area have alot of saugeye. It should be about that time of the year if the water is down. |
